Academic/Research Interests

I am interrested in everything that relates to the marine ecosystem, whether we it be ecology or utilization of marine resources. I am especially interrest in the “big picture”, the influence of processes and species-interactions on ecosystems. In my view this is especially interresting now when the waters around Iceland are warming. The marine ecosystem north of Iceland is in this regard very important to me both because it is my “home area”and because this is where the effects of ocean warming will be the most. In light of this one of my aims in the future is to narrow my focus on a smaller area within this region and monitor there the changes occuring on important marine resources.
