Rannsˇkna- og frŠasvi/ßherslur Ý faglegu starfi - Academic/Research Interests

═slenska

Applied microbiology, biotechnology and process developments are the basic theme in my research. The objective of these research areas is to find solutions to problems and to unlock potentials in fields of food, feed, cosmetics, energy and health.
The research projects cover topics in:
   Bio-prospecting
Microbiology of marine hydrothermal vent system
Active ingredients for food, feed and cosmetics (antimicrobials and antioxidants)
Enzyme hydrolysed proteins for marinating food
   New products from large algae
Microbial growth models and Shelf Life prediction
   Quality and safety of food
